Purim is over... now what?

`Purim might be over, but the need in Ukraine is still there! Let's keep using our Jewish baking traditions to bake for Ukraine. If you have a bake sale, special bakery item with donated proceeds, or Jewish food-related fundraiser, we can support you by sharing the details!

What is Hamantashen for Ukraine?

I'm a baker, a bakery owner, or cafe owner: how can I participate?

Hamantashen for Ukraine is a show of bakery solidarity for the people of Ukraine. Profits of sales are donated directly by participating bakers to the Polish Humanitarian Action (www.pah.org.pl/en/) to help them assist Ukrainian refugees at the Polish border escaping the violence.
Between now and March 17th, simply bake and sell hamantashen at your bakery or cafe. Let us know you're participating via our contact form - let us know when and where you'll be selling so we can promote it here!

If hamantashen are your bread and butter sales at this time of year, we ask one special flavor of hamantashen for the cause, a percentage of sales, or sales on one day of business. Donate profits of these sales directly to the Polish Humanitarian Action (www.pah.org.pl/en/) to help them assist Ukrainian refugees at the Polish border escaping the violence. If donating from the US, please donate using the credit card or the Paypal option, not the third party CAF option as it takes a fee. Then save your donation receipt for accountability. That's it!

If you're a baker without a brick and mortar shop but still want to participate, sell direct through your network - friends, family, social media!

Why hamantashen?

Hamantashen are a symbolic cookie for the holiday of Purim - a time of reflection about destructive megalomaniacs and triumph of good over evil. Ukrainians are, in real time, facing a modern-day Haman in Vladimir Putin. Let’s do what we can to help.

I'm a baker but I've never made hamantashen!

Don't worry - we can send you a recipe!

Let us know you want to get involved!
